Active Aging Industry Gets Amped Up
Designed and facilitated by theDifference, the purpose of the ICAA Forum in Crystal City, VA, was to develop actionable recommendations that many organizations can use to create and/or enhance the cultural and physical environments that are necessary to support wellness and quality of life for older adults.
Working closely with Colin Milner and Pat Ryan from the ICAA, Tom Kehner teamed with Breah Parker and Chris Foster to deliver a high-energy event that met with excellent reviews from the Forum’s 50+ attendees, pictured below.
Using a 24′ long X 8′ tall “Art Wall,” Breah Parker captured the flow of the event in real-time to summarize the work completed at the Forum.
During an opening, ice-breaker exercise, each participant was challenged to envision the Active Aging Industry in the Year 2025 and describe it using “One Word.” Then, the group formed small teams based on likeness and synergy across their words to make connections to like-minded participants. The Wordle shown below was quickly created to describe the group’s thinking on their vision of the Active Aging industry in 2025.
